Nell's Niche

In April, 2010, Murphy O'Brien Gorke-Felice moved on to that great B&B in the sky. For 16 years he was an amazing friend. His "paw prints" were hard to fill, but fortunately for us, we met Ms. Nell Newman Gorke-Felice. She's called a "party poodle," because of her unique markings, but she certainly is a party girl.

Like her predecessor, she loves to meet and greet guests, both human and canine. Her favorite game is "doggie rassle," and she takes on all comers. She treats humans to throw & fetch, and is guaranteed to drive you bonkers with her rapid retrievals, pleading for more.

Being a young pup, just 5 months old at this writing, we enrolled her in puppy kindergarten. True to her form, she flunked the 3rd class, which was Come When Called. Yep, all her classmates gleefully ran to their masters, sat and received their cookies. Ms. Nell ran circles around everyone, turning a deaf ear to her mistress who was jumping up and down and yelling, "Come Nell!" Back to the drawing board.*

*Nell actually passed the rest of her classes and graduated with honors from puppy kindergarten on 8/17/10
